Q: Are transparent materials available?
A: All removable/reusable materials are currently only available in white. The only transparent medias manufactured by any of the materials manufacturers either have a permanent adhesive, which will scar surfaces when removed, or are static cling for windows interiors. All transparent materials are also intended for short term use – normally 60 days or less, as the ink tends to fade quickly. However, Wallhogs has been working with a material manufacturer to develop a transparent wall graphic media and we hope to have testing completed and the ability to offer it sometime in the first half of 2015.
Q: How does the partnership work?
A: Wallhogs/Autohogs is offering a partnership to any photographer, or similar business, who wishes to offer custom reusable wall graphics or vehicle decals to their customers. We offer photographers a global discount wherein you are able to resale the products to your customers. Q: What type of discount is offered and how do I receive it?
A: Wallhogs/Autohogs discount structure is based on multiple tiers. Photographers in turn may then resale at retail or mark-up the cost to their customers. All photographers receive a standard initial 25% discount, but can increase their discount by increasing sales. All partner accounts are reviewed monthly and if you achieve the goal, set below, your new discount level will automatically be applied to your account. Q: What is the best file format to submit my images as?
A: There are two types of graphics file formats; raster or bitmapped and vector. Following are suggested file submission standards:
- Raster or bitmapped images are digital photographs or scanned images. These files normally have an extension of .jpg or .tiff. Either file format will work, however the higher the resolution of the file the better. Photos require a minimum pixel dimension of 2048x1536, while scanned images must be submitted at 300 dpi.
- Raster or bitmapped artwork created in a program such as Adobe Photoshop will have file extensions of .jpg, .tiff or .psd. These files can be submitted in any of these formats, however we suggest a resolution of 300 dpi.
- Vector based images or artwork are normally created in programs like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw. These files have extensions such as .eps, .ai, .pdf or .svg. Any logos, text or solid color artwork is best submitted in one of these four file formats.
Q: Why does my .eps, .ai, .pdf, .psd or .svg file not appear once uploaded?
A: These types of file formats are all proprietary to the respective companies that created them. Without a license to utilize elements from their programs (such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, etc) it is not possible to display the image. As theses companies require a tremendously large licensing fee we have decided not to pursue this avenue. Instead, your original file name is displayed with your images once uploaded to your account so they may be easily identified for ordering.
Q: How do I know if my image will work?
A:Following are guidelines that should be used to qualify your image:
- Digital Photos image must meet minimum resolution requirement
of 2048x1536 and subject to be printed should encompass at least 50%
of the entire photo.
- Scanned Images image must be scanned at 300 dpi
to even be considered for reproduction. Wallhogs recommends
image be scanned as a .tiff.
- Logos or Artwork images produced as artwork in raster based programs such as Adobe Photoshop must be submitted at 300 dpi. Images submitted as vector images must be submitted as .eps, .ai, .pdf or .svg files.
Q: What are your minimum resolution requirements for an image?
A: Subject to be reproduced in photo or artwork should encompass, at least, 50% of the entire photo or canvas and meet the following resolution requirements:
Remember the output quality is only as good as the input quality of the image.
- Digital Photos minimum resolution of 2048x1536 is required for upload to your Wallhogs account. Any image not meeting the minimum requirement will not upload. A 2048x1536 resolution is available on any digital camera with a MegaPixel rating of 3 or higher (review your camera manual to determine the correct setting on your camera).
- Scanned Images minimum of 300 dpi scan is required for upload and Wallhogs recommends image be scanned as a .tiff.
- Logos or Artwork Any raster artwork must be submitted at 300 dpi and meet minimum pixel dimensions of 2048x1536. Vector artwork requires no minimum resolution requirements.

Q: Will my digital printing design look just like it does on the computer screen?
A: The printed image will appear fairly close to the image on your computer screen. Computer screen and printer resolutions are different, wherein computers use ppi (pixels per inch) to display text or images while printers utilize dpi (dots per inch) to print. Keep in mind computer monitors also backlight the image on your screen whereas printing on different materials and finishes (matte, satin, gloss, etc.) will also affect the appearance of the finished product.
Q: How large and how many images can I upload into my personal account?
A: You may upload a maximum of 25 images
into your account and each image may be a maximum of 35MB in size.

Q: Can you PMS color match my image?
A: Per the two types of file formats:
- Raster or bitmapped images cannot be color matched – only color corrected. Due to the nature of the image being created as millions of pixels, each pixel maintains its own color captured by the CCD in a camera or scanner. These colors are hard coded into the pixel and can only be color adjusted (contrast, brightness, etc).
- • Vector images may be color matched using the PMS or Pantone Color Guide. Wallhogs does utilize this industry standard and can color match your vector file, per the above listed cost of $10 per color. Please contact one of our Customer Service Representatives for more information.
Q: What payment options are available?

A: During the checkout process of ordering each image you are presented with a page requiring selections for; printing image as-is or as a cutout, proof or no proof and a box for any special instructions.
Q: Can I cancel my order?
A: Yes, however only within the first 12 hours of placing your order. If an order is cancelled after the inital 12 hour period and Wallhogs has processed your images, it is at Wallhogs discretion that you may be charged a cancellation fee of $5 per image processed, or a maximum of $100.
Q: Do I get to see a proof of my artwork before printing?
A: Yes, if you select this option during the checkout process. However, the only proofs we seek approval for are the Reusable Vinyl & Photo-Tex Wallhogs. Other instances where we may seek proof approvals are when our graphics team feels an image is questionable for enlargement and printing, or when we need to crop a large portion of an image for a glossy poster print. Proofs are uploaded into your Wallhogs account within 24-48 business hours after your order is submitted and our servers automatically generate an email that alerts you the proof is ready for review. Simply login to your account and select the “Image Approvals” option to review.

Q: I never received the email alerting me my proof was ready for review?
A: Once our graphics specialists upload your proof our servers automatically generate the alert email and send it to the address used to create your Wallhogs account. With the number of different ISP’s and spam filtering software it is difficult to ensure all customers receive this alert. Many times the ISP’s maintain their own spam folder that filters, what they believe, to be spam. In this instance the mail never reaches our customers and we are unable to bypass this issue. We are aware several ISP’s have labeled Wallhogs as spammers and our IT department has attempted to resolve this issue, however once a company is categorized as a spammer it is very difficult to be removed from that list. The only course of action we have at this point is to recommend you simply login to your account within 24 hours to determine if your proofs are available.
Q: How secure is the order process?
A: You can be assured our checkout process is very secure. We use the latest SSL (secure socket layer) to process your order. Out site has also been authenticated by Equifax for secure checkout.
Q: How can I check the status of my order?
A: As we produce all orders submitted within a 3-5 day timeframe it would be difficult to keep a database updated with the exact status of every order. A: Delivery times will vary according to the type of shipping selected and the distance as compared to our facility, which is located 25 miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. All other UPS services state their maximum delivery time according to shipping method selected.

Q: Can I brand the print as my product?
A: If you wish to add your logo to the image prior to submission it will be printed. However, Wallhogs will not include any marketing/sales material pertaining to your business in the shipping package. If you want the Wallhogs graphic team to add your logo to the print it will incur a $25 graphics creation charge per print.
Q: Does Wallhogs/Autohogs brand or include any of their own materials in the package?
A: Due to demand for no-branding from our Preferred Photographer Partners, Wallhogs tested non-branding of our product through the majority of 2008. We are happy to state the test was a success and we now offer our partners non-branding of both Wallhogs and Autohogs on a permanent basis.
Q: What are your business hours?
A: Our business hours are Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time for internet customers attempting to reach our Customer Service Representatives. Our brick-and-mortar store retail hours are Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST and Tuesday/Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST. Wallhogs is closed Saturday and Sunday.
Q: What is your price match guarantee?
