Uploading and Naming Your Files

Wallhogs provides a FREE FTP site for upload of your images. In order to process your images as quickly as possible for display please follow the proceeding steps:

  1. Prior to uploading your images please name each file as you wish for the name to appear in your gallery. You may also download the naming/tag template by selecting one of the formats (Excel or Word) to provide naming and search tags for each image. If you do not name your files or provide tags, the Graphics Specialist that processes your images will provide generic names/tags during upload to your gallery.

  2. Once you have renamed each image, place all images in a single folder. If you are using the Wallhogs template for names and tags it should also be included in this folder. To ensure processing without any delays please label or rename the folder with your name or business and the email address your Wallhogs account was setup with. For instance, if you wish for your gallery to be listed under your personal name the folder would be labeled (i.e. KevinSmith_ksmith@yahoo.com), if under a business name (i.e. Sparky’sPhotogrpahy_ksmith@yahoo.com).

Please follow these two steps as this will allow us to quickly identify who the images belong to for processing. Processing of images to be included in the catalog may take up to 4 weeks, depending upon Wallhogs normal workload and the number of Content Affiliate Partners who have submitted images prior to you.

Once your folder is uploaded to the FTP site our Graphics Department is automatically notified and they will download your folder to our graphics servers. Once they download the folder your images are automatically deleted from the FTP site in order to reserve space for new uploads.
